Chief Guest Maj Gen Hooda to cadets – You are already in the elite list.

During his speech the Chief Guest remarked: (excerpt from his address to cadets)
Dear Cadets, You are amongst the best in your peer group as getting admission in the prestigious Sainik School Kunjpura is no mean feat. I’m aware of the tough competition through which each aspirant goes to be part of Sainik School Kunjpura. So you are already winners.
During my various assignments I’ve always encouraged students to join Sainik Schools & Rashtriya Military Schools, hence I’m aware of the rigour required to clear the entrance exam. You are already in the elite list. Cadets, you are always privileged to be guided by some of the best teachers, complemented by state of art infrastructure to provide you an enabling environment.
Your curriculum has been designed not only to hone your academic skills but also instil discipline, endurance, grit & leadership qualities. Students what you learn here will get ingrained in your muscle memory & see you through many challenges in life. This i speak with my experience of being an alumnus of MNSS Rai (Sonipat). What you learn here is immeasurable, which you will realise as time goes by. Talking about teachers a bit more. You are fortunate to be in mentorship of very talented teachers. Even the 1st principal of MNSS rai (my school) was Col Munindra Chandra, who also happened to be an ex principal of Sainik School Kunjpura.
I must also acknowledge that I was also taught at the National Defence Academy by General Bishamber Dayal (President Old Boys Association SSK) who was a very very esteemed instructor. I’m sure that Kunjeyans would never be found wanting in any field when the nation calls. You will for sure carry the pride of your institution, your family, your flag to make the nation proud. I wish Sainik School Kunjpura continued success & gratitude to parents & teachers for shaping such wonderful minds.
