Latest News: J&K Sainik School Manasbal located in Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir has released its online application forms for academic year 2025-26 for admission in classes 6, 9 & 11 (Boys only). Established in 1980, J&K Sainik School Manasbal was the second Sainik School (1st being Sainik School Lucknow) to be operated by a state government, while all other old Sainik Schools are managed & run under aegis of Sainik School Society (Ministry of Defence). Despite located at high altitude which severely limits its operations from December to March every year, the school has come a long way since its inception. Timeline for J&K Sainik School Manasbal

To apply for J&K Sainik School Manasbal entrance exam, Boy must be a domicile of Jammu & Kashmir. Residents of other states & UTs can not apply for its admission process. This School is different from Sainik School Nagrota which is also situated in J & K.

• Online application timeline: 15 December 2024 to 31 January 2025
• Admit Card release date : 8 February 2025
• Date of exam: 23 February 2025 (Sunday) (Tentative)
• Mode of exam: Pen Paper (OMR Sheets based)
• Exam Time : 150 minutes
• Paper pattern: Multiple Choice questions
• Exam centres: Two (02): One for Kashmir Province at J&K Sainik School Manasbal & One for UT of Ladakh at Kargil.
• Exam fee: Rs 550/-

Eligibility for admission to Class 6th

Candidate should be between 10 and 12 years as on 31.03.2025 (born between 01.04.2013 and 31.03.2015, both dates inclusive). Candidates who have appeared in class 5th examination in November-December 2024 or appearing in February-March 2025 are ONLY ELIGIBLE for admission in Class 6th. Candidates should have passed Class 5th from any Government or private School at the time of admission.

Eligibility for admission to Class 9th

Candidate should be between 13 and 15 years as on 31.03.2025 (born between 01.04.2010 and 31.03.2012, both dates inclusive). Candidates who have appeared in class 8th examination in November-December 2024 or appearing in February-March 2025 are ONLY ELIGIBLE for admission in Class 9th. Candidates should have passed Class 8th from any Government or private School at the time of admission.

Eligibility for admission to Class 11th

Candidate should be between 15 and 17 years as on 31.03.2025 (born between 01.04.2008 and 31.03.2010, both dates inclusive). Candidates who are appearing in class 10th examination in February-March, 2025 are ONLY ELIGIBLE for admission in class 11th. Candidates should have passed Class 10th from any Government or private recognized school at the time of admission with at least 55% marks in Mathematics and Science and 40% marks in English. The subject combination (NDA specific) available for admission to class 11th is: English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
