These grants are allocated as per demands raised by the Sainik Schools. Funding is subject to fulfilment of the criteria & guidelines framed for the said grants. The concerned State Governments where Sainik Schools are located provide Dietary Allowance, State Scholarship & Grant-in-aid for maintenance of infrastructure, training etc. to the concerned Sainik Schools.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh approves to set-up 23 new Sainik schools under partnership mode with Sainik School Society
Central Government had approved the initiative of setting up of 100 new Sainik Schools in partnership with NGOs, private schools, state governments. In September 2023 Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has approved setting up of 23 new Sainik Schools under partnership mode.
The new Sainik schools will set up in a phased manner class-wise, starting from Class 6 onwards. A memorandum of agreement (MoA) had been signed under this initiative by the Sainik Schools Society with 19 new Sainik Schools located all over the country. Now, 23 more of New Sainik Schools have been approved.

Sainik School latest News: Sainik School Satara, Maharashtra released its 12th merit list as part of All India Sainik Schools admission counselling for academic session 2023-24 in which the waiting list of 15 candidates who are provisionally selected for admission to classes VI and IX (leftover vacancies after completion of Round-IV of E-counselling & due to withdrawal cases) was made publicly available on school website. New admission counselling process by NTA for Sainik Schools is troublesome
We’d like to provide an update to readers who may be wondering, ‘How come Sainik Schools are accepting new students right now, considering we’re already halfway through the school academic season’? This troublesome admission schedule is the outcome of the newly accepted All India Sainik School Admission Counselling procedure used by NTA and the Sainik School Society for admission into Old and New Sainik Schools.
On the official communication page from Sainik School Satara regarding 12th merit list it is mentioned 1. It is intimated that the admission is provisional and will only be confirmed after the successful completion of medical cum physical documents verification and payment of School fee. 2. Medical Performa and other documents are to be downloaded from E-Counseling portal (https://pesa.ncog.gov.in/sainikschoolecounselling/landingpage) 3. State quota of 25% i.e. 08 seats has been considered while preparing the merit list in respect of student of other states. 4. Appearance of name in merit list does not guarantee admission. Admission in Sainik School is subject to Medical Fitness of the candidate and submission of relevant documents, school fee etc. within the prescribed time. Failing to do so, the candidature of the candidate will liable to be rejected.

Sainik School News: Hon’ble Vice-President, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar who is proud ex-student of Sainik School, Chittorgarh visited his alma mater recently. VP was born in village Kithana, District Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan and completed his primary schooling from Kithana government school before joining Sainik School Chittorgarh.
Vice-President also met his old teacher from Sainik School Chittorgarh, Shri Harpal Singh Rathee Ji, and sought his blessings at his residence in Chittorgarh today. Vice President said he is grateful to Rathee Sir for his support and mentorship, both within and outside the classroom.
Vice President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar gave a very emotional heartfelt tribute to his alma mater Sainik School Chittorgarh (Rajasthan) for giving him necessary environment to reach his full bloom. He said if he had not received training & upbringing of Sainik School Chittorgarh, it is highly unlikely that he would have reached these heights.
“My real birth, my rebirth, was in Sainik School, Chittorgarh. All that I am in the world today, I owe to this school. और इस माटी को मैं सलाम करता हूं।”

Sainik School News: Sainik School Bijapur Karnataka proudly hosted its Annual Science Exhibition, an event that showcased the immense talent and innovative spirit of the students. The school opened its doors to nearby schools from all over Vijayapura on the 17th and 18th of August, inviting them to witness the ongoing Mega Diamond Jubilee Science Exhibition.
The cadets of Sainik School Bijapur left no stone unturned in presenting an inspiring display of scientific marvels. The exhibition featured a wide array of exhibits, ranging from intricate models and experiments to interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities. Student’s from nearby 16 schools were also given a tour of the science park located in campus of Sainik School Bijapur.

I-Day celebration event had Shri Manohar Lal, the esteemed Chief Minister of Haryana, as the Chief Guest. The selection process was rigorous, as only two drill contingents of students were chosen to participate in this momentous occasion. Alongside Sainik School Khara Kheri, the second contingent was composed of NCC (Junior Division / Junior Wing) cadets from the ‘Royal International Residential School Khara Kheri’.
